Ten year old Tomoyo is Sakura's best friend. She spotted Sakura making her first flight with the Fly card and decided to help her friend by making her battle costumes. An avid videographer, she loves filming Sakura doing anything and everything. Her video collection includes most of Sakura's card capturing and many important events in her life, as well as more "mundane" things.
A very open and loving person, Tomoyo has a beautiful singing voice and is in the choir at school. That ability made her a target of both the Song and Voice cards, because they copy the most beautiful voices they hear.
Tomoyo lives with her mother Sonomi, who is also Sakura's mother's cousin. Because her mother is the head of a large toy company, Tomoyo doesn't have money problems and often travels in the company of bodyguards (all female).
Having that kind of life hasn't made Tomoyo spoiled or bratty, though, she is a very sentimental and caring person who has no enemies. Even Shaoran liked her from the beginning despite his animosity towards Sakura.
Despite her own love for Sakura, Tomoyo hoped for Sakura to be happy with Yukito. Later when Shaoran fell in love with Sakura, she noticed it first and helped him reveal those feelings to Sakura later. A true friend, Tomoyo wishes only for Sakura to be happy.
