In addition to my insane collection of DVDs, I do a lot of rental via Netflix. It is a great way for me to try stuff before I spend money on it. Right now I do the one out at time plan. Thanks to Netflix for providing RSS feeds :-)

When a group of hijackers led by criminal mastermind Ryder (John Travolta) take the passengers aboard a New York subway train hostage and demand a king's ransom, it's up to subway dispatcher Walter Garber (Denzel Washington) to bring them down. Directed by Tony Scott (Man on Fire), this action thriller -- an update of the 1974 film from Joseph Sargent -- also stars James Gandolfini, John Turturro, Luis Guzmán and Michael Rispoli.

Roland Emmerich co-writes and directs a star-studded ensemble cast that also includes Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Danny Glover.

002- Hachi: A Dog's Tale -
When his master, Parker (Richard Gere), dies, a loyal pooch named Hachiko keeps a regular vigil -- for more than a decade -- at the train station where he once greeted the man every day in director Lasse Hallström's touching drama based on a true story. Hachiko's faithful routine teaches the station's patrons about true love and commitment. Joan Allen stars as Parker's wife; Sarah Roemer, Jason Alexander and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa co-star.

003- The Book of Eli -
Determined to salvage a sacred text in order to protect humanity, Eli (Denzel Washington) goes on a quest across the country in this action-packed sci-fi adventure. Meanwhile, a blind woman named Claudia (Jennifer Beals) tries to protect her daughter, Solara (Mila Kunis). It seems that tyrannical town bully Carnegie (Gary Oldman) has taken a shine to the girl. Directed by the Hughes brothers, the film co-stars Ray Stevenson.

004- Avatar -
Disabled Marine Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) travels to planet Pandora to become an avatar, ingratiate himself with the natives and help Americans mine lucrative unobtainium. But he finds himself in an interstellar conflict after falling for Na'vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). James Cameron writes and directs this Golden Globe-winning CGI odyssey that has broken box office records. Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang co-star.

005- Alice in Wonderland -
A 19-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) journeys through Underland, where she experiences strange ordeals and encounters peculiar characters, including the vaporous Cheshire Cat (voiced by Stephen Fry), the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) and the sadistic Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter). Anne Hathaway, Alan Rickman, Matt Lucas and Crispin Glover co-star in director Tim Burton's bold adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic.

006- The Time Traveler's Wife -
Due to a genetic disorder, handsome librarian Henry DeTamble (Eric Bana) involuntarily zips through time, appearing at various moments in the life of his true love, the beautiful artist Clare Abshire (Rachel McAdams). Also starring Ron Livingston as Gomez, the soul-stirring romantic drama was adapted from the best-selling Audrey Niffenegger novel by Bruce Joel Rubin, the screenwriter behind the beloved weepy Ghost.

007- Alvin and the Chipmunks -
Singing sensations Alvin and the Chipmunks headline their first feature-length comedy in this family friendly film that finds them meeting their future manager -- a struggling songwriter named Dave Seville (Jason Lee) -- for the first time. David Cross plays a sleazy record executive, with Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler and Jesse McCartney providing the speaking voices of Alvin, Simon and Theodore, respectively.

008- Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel -
Alvin (voiced by Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler) and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) are back, along with their careworn manager, Dave (Jason Lee), and this time they have competition: The Chipettes (Anna Faris, Christina Applegate and Amy Poehler), hired by Dave's nemesis, Ian Hawke (David Cross). Cameron Richardson, Zachary Levi and Wendie Malick also lend their voice talents for this good-time live-action/CGI sequel.

009- Terminator: Salvation -
All grown up in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale) must lead the resistance of humans against the increasingly dominating militaristic robots in this fourth installment of the popular action-packed Terminator series. But when Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) appears, his existence confuses the mission as Connor tries to determine whether Wright has come from the future or the past -- and whether he's friend or foe.

010- District 9 -
When aliens land on Earth, global business conglomerate Multi-National United forces them into rigid containment zones where they are compelled to labor, even as MNU commandeers their otherworldly technology for profit. As tensions build between human and non-human races, a rogue agent leads a resistance movement against MNU's ruthless consolidation of power. Neill Blomkamp directs this cinema verité-style sci-fi thriller nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award.

011- Radio -
A small-town high school football coach (Ed Harris) befriends a developmentally disabled man (Cuba Gooding Jr.) nicknamed "Radio," who has always been the target of jokes and teasing, in this heartwarming drama based on the real-life experiences of James Robert Kennedy. Although their friendship raises eyebrows at first, Radio's growth under the coach's guidance ultimately inspires the local townsfolk to think differently about being different.

012- Mona Lisa Smile -
At Wellesley College in 1953, the all-female student population constitutes the best and the brightest, yet they're still measured by how well they marry until the arrival of professor Katherine Watson (Julia Roberts) threatens to tip the status quo. Watson's teaching not only raises the ire of many administrators but also a few of the students (including Kirsten Dunst, Julia Stiles and Maggie Gyllenhaal) she dares to inspire.

013- Complete Shamanic Princess -
A great find for genre enthusiasts, this series contains the entire six-episode collection of the Japanese animé series The Shamanic Princess. The theft of the mysterious and powerful Throne of Yord sends Tiara and her partner, Japolo, from the magical Guardian World back to Earth to recover the talisman. This series is rich with stunning visuals, featuring lots of full moons, figures reflected in big eyes and blizzards of flower petals.

014- Zaion: I Wish You Were Here: Vol. 1: Epidemic -
This disc includes two complete episodes of the epic anime series, as well as bonus features such as a Japanese promotional clip, interviews with director Seiji Mizushima and the president of Gonzo Digimation, production sketches and ADV previews.

015- Last Exile: Vol. 1: First Move -

016- Sins of the Sisters -
During the 13th century's holy crusades, an innocent soldier finds himself betrayed. Leaping to his death, he vows to return as a fallen angel and is reborn in the modern age as a female warrior. His feminine alter ego, the beautiful Aiko, rises to lead an army that unites the world and abolishes religion. But haunted by memories of a past life, she travels back in time -- and gets caught in a battle to save the future in this 1995 anime film.

017- Tokyo Godfathers -
This animated tale tells the unlikely story of three misfit roommates -- Gin (a former professional cyclist), Hana (a transvestite) and Miyuki (a young runaway) -- who find an abandoned baby in a dumpster on Christmas Eve. The wacky group then heads to the big city in search of the baby's parents and must endure a slew of happy people enjoying the season along the way, resulting in a rude awakening for each of the loners.

018- Geneshaft: Vol. 1: Ring -
This disc includes the first four episodes of the futuristic series, plus extras such as the pilot film, a character gallery and a glossary.

019- Knights of Ramune -
Somewhere in one of those galaxies far, far away, Holy Virgins Cacao and Parfait must find the prophesied Champion of the Galaxy to prevent the destruction of the universe. Unfortunately, the Champion turns out to be a power-obsessed tyrant! With the help of a plucky orphan, a giant robot and their Holy Magic, the two heroines fight to save the galaxy from its greatest hero.

024- The Chronicles of Riddick -

Riddick is charged with stopping the Necromonger army from its evil grip, meanwhile rescuing an old friend from a prison planet and evading capture by bounty hunters. Dame Judi Dench and Thandie Newton co-star.

025- Strange Love -
This video includes two continuing episodes of an adult-oriented anime series about sexy university coed Yoshida Chizuru (voiced by Atsuko Kichiya), who moonlights doing TV commercials. When her lovesick professor discovers Yoshida's extracurricular activities -- expressly forbidden by school rules -- he tries to use her secret to extort sexual favors. But he's left in the lurch after Yoshida is smitten with distaff transfer student Azumi Yamada

026- Babel II: Perfect Collection -
Hidden psychic powers are unleashed in a reluctant hero who is transformed from a mild-mannered student into Babel II, a supernatural warrior who must battle an army of zombies led by a ruthless Magus. Based on the classic science fiction graphic novel, Babel II is a spell-binding journey into the heart of darkness.

027- City of Angels -
When guardian angel Seth (Nicolas Cage) -- who invisibly watches over the citizens of Los Angeles -- becomes captivated by Maggie (Meg Ryan), a strong-willed heart surgeon, he ponders trading in his pure, otherworldly existence for a mortal life with his beloved. The couple embarks on a tender but forbidden romance spanning heaven and Earth in this fantasy based on German director Wim Wenders's 1987 film, Wings of Desire.

028- The Story of the Weeping Camel -
This unique documentary follows a Mongolian camel that's rejected her newborn white colt. Now, all hope lies with two young shepherd boys, who must travel across the Gobi desert to find a healing musician. Will the violinist's ritual do the trick? This Oscar-nominated film moves beyond its narrative structure to offer a keenly observed portrait of nomadic herders who are preserving an ancient way of life.

029- The Weathering Continent -
Before the time of recorded history, the Atlantic Ocean harbored a magnificent continent on which civilization flourished. Unfortunately, brutal wars and natural disasters have nearly leveled the once-thriving society. Three survivors of the wars, Tieh, Lakushi and Bois, wander the land hoping to find some last vestige of civilization. When they finally come across a city, however, they find it's populated by the dead -- who rule over the living!

030- Snow Queen -
Evil can have a beautiful face, and in this movie based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, its allure is as powerful as its thirst for destruction. Bridget Fonda stars in the title role as the chilly seductress who puts a young man under her spell, taking him away from the woman who loves him. To save her beloved, the girl must find the courage to venture into the Snow Queen's frozen castle.

031- Snow White -
This isn't the classic Disney version, but it's still a family favorite! This live-action TV version, brought to you by the producers of Hallmark Entertainment specials, stars Miranda Richardson as the Evil Queen and Kristin Kreuk as Snow White. Direction by Caroline Thompson (The Addams Family, Edward Scissorhands) and top-notch special effects provide a splendid new take on the Brothers Grimm's beloved fairy tale.

032- Hero -
The Qin King has long been obsessed with conquering all of China and becoming her first Emperor, which makes him the target of three legendary assassins. As a result, he promises great power to anyone who can defeat them. Jet Li heads the stellar cast as Nameless, the enigmatic county sheriff who earns his audience with the mighty King and stands to win mountains of gold in the process. Zhang Yimou directs this lush, Oscar-nominated epic.

033- Samurai Gun: Vol. 1: Cocked & Loaded -

034- Constantine -
John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) is a private investigator who believes in things that go bump in the night -- an unconventional quirk that makes him somewhat of an eccentric personality in a world ruled largely by logic. When a female cop (Rachel Weisz) seeks his counsel after her twin sister dies in what first appears to be a suicide, she wants definitive proof of the cause of death. But the answers might only come with blind faith.

035- The Biscuit Eater -
Tennessee lad Lonnie McNeil (Johnny Whitaker) befriends a misfit canine and decides with his friend Text (George Spell) to train the animal as a champion bird dog. Can the boys beat the odds and turn the pooch into a prizewinner? Directed by television veteran Vincent McEveety, this engaging Disney movie costars Earl Holliman, Lew Ayres, Godfrey Cambridge, Beah Richards, Clifton James and Pat Crowley.

036- Virus: Virus Buster Serge: Vol. 1 -

037- Along Came a Spider -
When a teacher kidnaps a girl from a prestigious school, homicide detective Alex Cross (Morgan Freeman) takes the case, teaming up with young security agent Jezzie Flannigan (Monica Potter), in hopes of finding the girl and stopping the brutal psychopath. Every second counts as Alex and Jezzie attempt to track down the kidnapper before the spider claims another victim for its web. But are they too late to stop the inevitable?

038- Million Dollar Baby -
Despondent over a painful estrangement from his daughter, trainer Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood, who also directs) isn't prepared for boxer Maggie Fitzgerald (Hilary Swank) to enter his life. But Maggie's determined to go pro -- and to convince Dunn and his cohort (Morgan Freeman) to help her. This multiple Oscar winner picked up acting honors for Swank and Freeman as well as statues for Best Director and Best Picture.

039- Van Helsing -
In a plot inspired by the writings of Bram Stoker, vampire hunter extraordinaire Dr. Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) travels to a mysterious region of Eastern Europe on a quest to vanquish the big three -- Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh), the Wolf Man (Will Kemp) and Frankenstein's Monster (Shuler Hensley). On hand is Van Helsing's intrepid assistant, Anna (Kate Beckinsale), the heir to a family committed to hunting down and destroying the Count.

040- Underworld -
Vampires and werewolves have waged a nocturnal war against each other for centuries. But all bets are off when a female vampire warrior named Selene (Kate Beckinsale), who's famous for her strength and werewolf-hunting prowess, becomes smitten with a peace-loving male werewolf, Michael (Scott Speedman), who wants to end the war. Think Romeo and Juliet with a big hickey! The Blu-Ray version of this film is unrated.

041- My Bodyguard -
Tormented by a gang of bullies -- led by Matt Dillon, in one of his first film roles -- sheltered new kid Clifford (Chris Makepeace) seeks protection from older student Linderman (Adam Baldwin), a burly loner who's rumored to have killed -- and possibly eaten -- his own brother. Martin Mull, Ruth Gordon and Joan Cusack also star in this coming-of-age story about an unlikely friendship between two outcasts. Tony Bill directs.

042- Indigo -
This heartfelt drama sheds light on the new generation of Indigo (psychic and gifted) children being born into the world. At the center of the film is the relationship between Ray (Neale Donald Walsch) and his 10-year-old granddaughter, Grace (Meghan McCandless), with whom he goes on the run to protect her from a would-be kidnapper. Along the way, he discovers the power of Grace's gifts, which forever alter the lives of everyone she encounters.

043- Thundercats: Season 1: Vol. 1: Disc 1 -

044- Cheetah -
Reluctant to spend six months in Kenya with their scientist parents, teenagers Ted and Susan (Keith Coogan and Lucy Deakins) change their tune after they adopt and raise an orphaned cheetah with the help of a young goat herder (Colin Mothupi). But poachers nab the cat to race it against greyhounds, and the three must undertake a daring rescue mission. This heartwarming family film is based on The Cheetahs, a novel by actor Alan Caillou.

045- Silver Hawk -
Silver Hawk flies through the air and gracefully swoops down for a landing wherever and whenever there's trouble afoot. But who is this masked heroine? Concealing her true identity, model Lulu Wong (Michelle Yeoh) moonlights as the costumed do-gooder. When a scientist is kidnapped by a nefarious techno-chic geek (Luke Goss), who wants to use the inventor's device to rule the planet, Lulu's two separate worlds collide in a race to stop the madman.

046- Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story -
Down-and-out horse trainer Ben Crane (Kurt Russell) gets an equally broken-down (but once great) racehorse as severance pay. But it will take the unwavering faith of his daughter (Dakota Fanning) to bring the two damaged souls together in a quest to win the Breeders' Cup Classic. Elisabeth Shue, Oded Fehr and Kris Kristofferson co-star in director John Gatins's heartwarming tale loosely based on actual events.

047- The Five People You Meet in Heaven -
Based on best-selling author Mitch Albom's book, this moving TV drama centers on Eddie (Steven Grayhm and Jon Voight), who dies at the age of 83, uncertain that he was able to save a girl from a horrible accident and doubting that his life had any significance. In heaven, Eddie meets five souls who, through flashbacks, show him how he affected the lives of others in amazing ways. Ellen Burstyn, Jeff Daniels and Michael Imperioli also star.

048- Duma -
When young Xan (Alexander Michaeletos) befriends an orphaned cheetah named Duma, he commits a pure act of selfless love and traverses the southern region of Africa, just so he can help his pal return to his one true home -- the wild. Although he may never see Duma again, Xan discovers that love lingers in spite of distance in this heartwarming family drama, which explores the bonds of friendship between man and beast.

049- Karas: The Prophecy -
In a futuristic Tokyo, humans and spirits are sharing the same living space without realizing it, thanks in part to the guardian raven Karas and his masters, who maintain the precarious balance between both dimensions. But when a former Karas named Eko decides to challenge the system by seizing control, it's up to the entity Yurine, who represents the will of the Japanese people, to secure the future for humanity.

050- Water -
After losing her husband to illness, 8-year-old Chuyia (Sarala) is forced to live out the rest of her days in a temple for Hindu widows, communing with 14 other women and a cruel headmistress who agrees to take her in. But it's through the trials of another widow, a beautiful prostitute named Kalyani (Lisa Ray) who's being courted by a man from a higher caste (John Abraham), that Chuyia learns the true restrictions of widowhood.

051- Take the Lead -
When a former professional dancer (Antonio Banderas) offers his skills to the New York public school system, his traditional methods clash with his students' hip-hop sensibilities. But the class ultimately creates a style that's uniquely their own. Alfre Woodard co-stars in this inspiring dance drama about the creative spark of collaboration, based on the real-life experiences of instructor Pierre Dulaine.

054- Step Up -
Sentenced to a stretch of community service at a prestigious school for the arts, streetwise troublemaker Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) unexpectedly discovers his natural talent for dance when he pairs with one of the academy's ballerinas. Jenna Dewan, Mario, Drew Sidora, Heavy D, Damaine Radcliff, De'Shawn Washington and Rachel Griffiths co-star in leading choreographer Anne Fletcher's dance-filled directorial debut.

055- Whisper of the Heart -
Schoolgirl Shizuku Tsukishima -- who has a passion for reading and hopes of becoming a writer -- discovers that all the books she checks out of the library have been borrowed before by someone called Seiji Amasawa. Shizuku's curiosity soon gets the best of her, and she sets out to meet the person who shares her literary taste, which leads her to love and inspires her to pursue her dream in this charming animated tale.

056- Ah! My Goddess: Vol. 1: Always and Forever -

057- Equilibrium -

John Preston (Christian Bale) is a top government official responsible for destroying those who resist the rules. But when he misses a dose of his own medication, he experiences a pang of conscience.

058- Origin: Spirits of the Past -
In the wake of a large-scale disaster that literally shatters the moon, plants -- not humans -- become the world's most intelligent life forms, until a young boy discovers a mysterious girl who's been in a state of suspended animation for 300 years. Her awakening threatens to disrupt the expansive and long-dominate Forest. Keiichi Sugiyama directs this futuristic anime that explores the delicate interplay between man and his natural environment.

059- MirrorMask -
Screenwriter Neil Gaiman's masterful allegorical drama, which melds live actors with animated characters, portrays the existence of a 15-year-old girl named Helena (Stephanie Leonidas) in a civilization ruled by light and darkness. When the Light Queen loses her equal hold on the kingdom, plunging it into gloomy shadows, Helena takes it upon herself to restore the universe back to its rightful balance. Dave McKean directs.

060- Children of Men -
Alfonso Cuaron directs this Oscar-nominated film version of P.D. James's classic dystopian novel, a futuristic drama set in a world in which humans have lost the ability to reproduce and subsequently face certain extinction. Things change when a single woman mysteriously becomes pregnant, prompting a conflicted government bureaucrat (Clive Owen) and his ex-wife (Julianne Moore) to join forces to protect her. Michael Caine co-stars.

061- Onmyoji -
During a dark time in the Heian period, when evil forces threaten the kingdom, the emperor relies on the Onmyoji to keep the supernatural forces in line. But as political events become highly charged, friction within the order leads to betrayal. Now, Seimei (Mansai Nomura), a talented member of the clan, must face down his master, Doson (Hiroyuki Sanada), in the hopes of restoring peace to the kingdom in this martial arts thriller.

062- Blood Diamond -
In war-ravaged Sierra Leone, diamond smuggler Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio) learns that a local fisherman (Djimon Hounsou) has stumbled upon a gigantic gem, and he offers to reunite the man with his family in exchange for the diamond. When Archer befriends a journalist (Jennifer Connelly) tracing "blood diamonds" that finance terrorist groups, he's faced with a choice between riches and humanity. DiCaprio and Hounsou each earned Oscar nods.
