From the pages of the Flowers and Dreams comic magazine comes creator Natsuki Takaya's Fruits Basket, a 26-episode TV series that deftly juggles comedy, tear-jerking drama, and supernatural curses. A starry-eyed 16-year-old orphan named Tohru Honda pitches a tent on the property of the affluent Sohma family. Instead of being asked to leave, Tohru is asked to move in to work as a housekeeper. Since this will put her in close proximity to the dreamy Yuki Sohma, the most sought-after boy in her high school, Tohru quickly takes the opportunity. But there are complications: A love triangle forms as Yuki's troublesome cousin Kyou shows up, vowing to rival Yuki anyway he can. Plus, it turns out that members of the Sohma family, when hugged by members of the opposite sex, have a habit of transforming into animals from the Chinese zodiac!
