In July of 2020, a friend in Arkansas found a young cat and her kitten on the street, hungry and suffering in the heat. They took them home and got them back to health. When I expressed interest in the mom, but couldn't adopt her until my credit card was paid off, my friend held her for me until I could!
In December, the final payment was made. A few weeks later, my sweetie and I drove 4.5 hrs to meet my friend to pick up Smudge!!! At the time I adopted her, she was estimated to be around 18 months old.
She was a little shaky at first, more because of this whole moving to another state and now being in a house with a dog, but she's also sweet and loves people and petting and is finding her feet slowly, but surely.
