Chloe

I adopted Chloe from my amazing friend Savvy after he and his partner were forced to move, but the new place would only allow three kitties versus the four they had. Chloe was the one they decided to rehome, and since I knew he would feel better about her being with someone he knew and trusted, I decided to adopt her.

There were ups and downs, as it turns out that despite being half Smudge's size, Chloe is a bit of a bully cat and was attacking Smudge multiple times a day. There were several times we considered rehoming her, but she is also a sweet girl otherwise and we knew it would break Savvy's heart if we had too. It's taken quite a bit of time, but she's mostly chilled out, though she still will make the occasional go at Smudge. For the most part, though, they seemed to broadly agree that Smudge gets the office and my bedroom, Chloe the living room and current "cat" room, likely in part due to the rooms where their favorite humans are (me for Smudge, Ray for Chloe LOL).

It would be awesome if they could actually be friends and play together, but at this point, we're just happy the attacks have calmed down and gotten much less volitile and we keep her claws trimmed so she doesn't cause damage :) Beside her issues with Smudge, Chloe is a complete love bug and will plop on the floor in front of you for pet pets. She demands uppies on the regular, is supper chatty, and a much more active player and hunter of bugs than Smudge is. She will also murder you if you try to give her a bath.
